Fernando Yamamoto
Vice President, Finance
Fernando Yamamoto was born and grew up in Brazil where he earned a degree in Accounting from Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas. Fernando started his career in 2001 as an auditor with KPMG and worked with a diverse client base such as GE, Honda Motors, Motorola, Petrobras and Vale.
After working as an auditor for several years, Fernando decided to work in the private sector to gain more practical and hands-on knowledge. In 2007, Fernando joined Ahlstrom (provides fiber-based materials for applications such as filters, medical fabrics, life science and diagnostics, wallcoverings and food packaging) as a Plant Controller, where he managed all the controlling, finance, accounting and tax functions
In 2008, Fernando and Olga (his wife) moved to the USA, due to Olga’s rotation program from KPMG, Fernando continuous his career in Houston and joined EagleBurgmann (industrial sealing technology and associated services) as a Controller where he managed all the controlling, finance, accounting and tax functions.
In 2013, Fernando joined Layne Christensen (a global water management, construction and drilling company, providing responsible solutions for water, mineral and energy resources) where he served in several roles as a Regional Controller for Latin America, Senior Finance Manager – International and Director of Finance – Mineral Division where he managed all the finance/reporting functions for all international locations (10 different countries).
In 2017, Fernando joined Goodman Manufacturing (a subsidiary of the Daikin Group, the world’s largest manufacturer of Heating, Ventilation and air Conditioning products and systems) as Finance Manager – Corporate Planning, Fernando oversees the budget process and the strategic planning for the company to achieve the goals established by Sr. Executive Management.
At The Package Center, Inc., Fernando is responsible for finance function, which includes Corporate Finance & Treasury, Business Controlling and Tax. He also oversees the Secretarial functions.
Fernando is married since 2008, has one child, and makes his home in Cypress, Texas. In his free time, Fernando has a passion to research and invest in Microcaps and spending time with his family.
